Main porch Start your tour with the southern exposure of the main porch, nicely shaded in the late afternoon.

 
Rose Garden The fountain is the centerpiece of the rose garden overlooked by the main porch. This is a literary rose garden in which all roses are named after authors and characters.

Weeping Persimmon West of the house, in a Zen-like setting, is the world's only "weeping persimmon," one of many water features throughout the property.

Crane Pool The Crane Pool northeast of the house has a marble frog from China spitting water in the direction of two brass cranes, who are clearly not intimidated
