Each of the bedrooms at the Ruddick-Nugent-House Bed & Breakfast offers unique features and custom decor designed with your comfort in mind. Come and enjoy our warm environment and hospitality.
Start your tour with the southern exposure of the main porch, nicely shaded
in the late afternoon.
The fountain is the centerpiece of
the rose garden overlooked by the main porch. This is a literary rose
garden in which all roses are named after authors and characters.
The southwest yard is a sunny open space
bordered by a berm planted in shrubs and perennials.
West of the house, in a Zen-like setting,
is the world's only "weeping persimmon," one of many water
features throughout the property.
The Whimsy Garden in the northwest features
unusual garden ornaments, such as this Tree Face.
The Crane Pool northeast of the house has a marble frog from China
spitting water in the direction of two brass cranes, who are clearly
not intimidated
The antiqued pavilion is the focus of the southeast Sculpture Garden
of Greco-Roman statuary.
